How to put on a dress yukata.

While wearing the dress, put the upper jacket over your shoulders and put your arms through the sleeves.
Wrap the upper jacket around your body with the left side layered on top.
Pull out the cord from under your left arm, wrap both cords behind you around your waist, and then tie them together in the front. Tuck in the loose ends.
Put on the obi. Try wrapping it around you however you think looks nice.
When you've finished tying the obi, adjust the shape of the knot and bow, and rotate the obi in a clockwise direction to the back of the body.
Make any final adjustments to the obi, and you're done!

How to wear YUKATA.

Put your arms through the yukatasleeves, hold the collar on the left and right sides, and line up the garment with the front of your body. Make sure that the back seam is centered along your spine.Use both hands to lift the yukata, and raise the lower hem slightly to a position where your ankles are still covered.
Bring the left side of the yukata across your body so that it covers your right hipbone, and set the width.
First, fit the right side of the yukata to your body. Next, layer the left side over the right side. Check that the lower hem reaches about 5 to 6 cm above the floor.
While holding down the yukata with your right hand, use your left hand to wrap the koshihimo waist-band around your waist. Tie it securely at your right hipbone.
Put your hands through the side openings below the left and right arm holes, and adjust the ohashori folds at your waist to change the yukata's length. From the openings, use your left hand to pull the right side of the collar and your right hand to pull the left side of the collar. Make any adjustments to the collar placement. As you do this, make sure to leave a fist-sized space between the yukata's collar and the back of your neck.
Position the chest band at the underbust level and tighten it. Shift any sagging or wrinkles from the back of the yukata to the sides, and adjust the shape.
To hide the chest band, wrap the datejime belt around from the front and tie it in the back.

How to tie Butterfly Obi.

Take the outer obi and fold the 'te' end in half. Keep the 'te' end 50 cm away from the center of the body and wrap the rest of the obi around the waist twice.
Hold the 'te' end up and tie the 'tare' and 'te' ends together.
Use the 'tare' end to make the butterfly wings. The length of the wings should be about the width of your shoulders.
Make pleats in the center of the butterfly wings.
Wrap the 'te' end around the butterfly wings twice.
Tuck the excess portion of the 'te' end into the space between the obi and the front board (maeita). Rotate the butterfly obi in a clockwise direction to the back of the body.
